Spring Park attracted settlers to Heber Springs in the 1830’s and is named after it’s natural springs which are covered by pavilions and accessible throughout the park. Spring Park offers picnic tables surrounded by beautiful shade trees, a basketball court, a skateboard ramp, playgrounds, 2 outdoor amphitheaters, public restrooms and is wheel chair accessible. Spring Park is home to many festivals through out the year including Spring Fest and Ozark Trail Fest. Pet Friendly.

The Sugar Loaf Mountain Island National Nature Trail is a fully-maintained climb to the peak of this unique island formation only accessible by boat.
You can catch a boat shuttle from a couple of the area marinas during season but you need to call ahead to make reservations and obtain hours of operation. (See below for links).
Climb the staircase to the peak at 1,001 feet above sea level where you can spy eagle’s nests in the hardwood forest, or catch the incredible vista across Greers Ferry Lake.

Greers Ferry Lake Arkansas
Over many ages, the Little Red River carved this sandstone formation into the best viewpoint in town! At nearly 700 feet, this popular trail hike destination is a perfect side trip during your visit to Heber Springs.
Choose from Summit (difficult), Tonawanda Base Trail (moderate), Hidden Pond Trail (handicap accessible) for varying levels of challenge, suitable for all ages.

Sulphur Creek Trails is a multi use trail (no motorized vehicles allowed) with several sections completed.
You can choose from the Garlinghouse Trail which is a .5 mi. Off Bittle Road West. This trail is across the road from Barnett/ Wildlife Trail Section. Chat surface and an easy trail. One bridge. Lots of wildlife and birds. Follow the Fairgrounds signs. Across the road from Cleburne County Fairgrounds, be sure to check out the other trails listed below:
Douglas Wildlife Trail .25 miles
4th Street and South Broadway .50 miles or
Barnett Wildlife Trail .25 miles
